The mission of Bramble Park Zoo is to Come Closer to the natural world around us.
The Vision of Bramble Park Zoo is to become the region's leading experience in education & conservation of the natural world.
Core Values
Integrity–Bramble Park Zoo and its staff will be held to the highest moral and ethical principles and be undivided in its decisions and persona. Conservation–One of the most important functions of a zoological institution is conservation of species and the continuation of upstanding animal facilities. Knowledge–Zoo staff will be well respected and knowledgeable about their trade and impart that knowledge through formal and informal education of guests. Engagement–Every person that has contact with the Bramble Park Zoo, on-site or off-site, will be engaged, and they will remember that engagement. Professionalism–Bramble Park Zoo strives to be professional at all times by exhibiting knowledge and integrity and participation in vetted programs.
The mission of Bramble Park Zoo's Education Department is to raise people's awareness of and respect for the natural world and their affect on it.
We strive to accomplish this through:
- Offering a broad spectrum of mission and AZA-driven programs that emphasize informal learning, inquiry based instruction, creativity and fun.
- Creating personal experiences that celebrate wildlife, renew everyone's connection to the environment and inspire conservation action.
- Providing programs that are accessible to diverse audiences, keeping in mind that people have different needs and learn in different ways.
- Making sure education is a zoo-wide endeavor to fulfill this mission.
